Libraries, bookstores, and other places mainly use the following security and safety equipment to prevent book loss and ensure the safety of the premises:

I. Core anti-theft equipment

Book monitoring door/anti-theft door

Based on the principle of electromagnetic waves, a scanning area is constructed through transmission and reception gates. When a book with a magnetic stripe passes by, the magnetic field lines are cut, triggering an audible and visual alarm; Supports single/dual channel design, with channel width up to 90-140cm.

The high-end model is made of acrylic material, integrated with 3D sensing technology, and compatible with dual anti-theft modes of EM magnetic strips and RFID tags, suitable for mixed management scenarios of old and new books.

RFID security door

By identifying the borrowing and returning status of electronic book tags (AFI/EAS mode), real-time sound and light alarms are triggered for unauthorized takeaway books; Support crowd flow statistics and access control linkage.

Typical parameters: Channel width of 80-90cm, recognition distance of three-dimensional omnidirectional, supporting offline/online modes.

II. Supporting system components

(1) Tags and processing equipment

Anti theft magnetic strip

Divided into cobalt based/iron-based magnetic strips (length 6-16cm), concealed and pasted in the gaps of books; It is necessary to cooperate with the charging and desensitizing device for activation/deactivation operations.

RFID electronic tag

Store book information and borrowing status, support ISO 15693/18000-3 standards, and link with security doors to prevent theft.

(2) Auxiliary tools

Charging and demagnetizing device: magnetize (anti-theft enabled) or demagnetize (disabled after borrowing) the magnetic strip.

Rechecking device: Check if the magnetic stripe status is normal.

Handheld detector: Quickly locate non demagnetized books.

III. Expand security system

Anti theft alarm integrated system

Includes infrared detectors, access control controllers, and monitoring centers, providing real-time response to illegal intrusion, fire incidents, etc., and storing logs for at least 90 days.

Intelligent monitoring equipment

Explosion proof cameras cover entrances and key areas, supporting low light imaging and abnormal behavior analysis.

Perimeter protection

The electronic fence is linked with sound and light alarms to prevent external intrusion.

IV. Typical application cases

Technical characteristics of venue equipment combination

Large library RFID security door+magnetic strip monitoring door+integrated alarm system dual frequency anti-theft, crowd counting

Bookstore/audio-visual store electromagnetic wave anti-theft door+anti metal interference charging and desensitizing device, with a false alarm rate of<2%

Offline RFID security door and explosion-proof camera with 3D sensing in the archive room, no network available

Deployment specifications:

Magnetic stripe pasting should avoid the metal binding area to ensure concealment;

RFID devices require regular frequency calibration to avoid signal interference.

Technology trend:

Dual frequency anti-theft system (EM+RFID) has become an upgraded solution for mixed old and new book venues, reducing the cost of magnetic stripe replacement.
