ABNMTECH Food Metal Detection Instrument


There are two ways to install food metal detectors. Plate coils can be installed above or below the products conveyed on the conveyor belt. But more sensitive food metal detection machines should pass the product through a coil and install the coil inside the metal shell. This more sensitive coil type typically contains three coils - one central transmitting coil and two receiving coils wound in opposite directions - housed within a probe. The oscillator connected to the central coil generates a high-frequency magnetic field. And two receiving coils with opposite winding directions are connected to each other, so that the induced voltage generated by them can be self cancelled out when the magnetic field is not disturbed.


In order to achieve better sensitivity, the aperture size of the food metal detection machine should match the specific product size. Is it possible to have a large aperture? weaken? The danger of signals; However, a too small aperture may hinder the passage of products on the conveyor belt. The sensitivity of food metal detection machines is usually measured from the geometric center of the aperture - the insensitive geometric point. When products contaminated with metal pass through, the hidden metal objects interfere with the magnetic field of the food metal detection machine. The output signals of the two receiving coils cannot cancel each other out, thus detecting the presence of metal impurities.


What factors can affect the detection efficiency of food metal detectors


1. Metal factor

Examples of metal inclusions, the deviation and location of metal pollutants outside the detected products. Metal examples are mainly divided into metals that are both conductive and magnetic, such as iron and non-magnetic stainless steel, which can be easily detected. The bias of metal pollutants refers to the lack of easy detection when the magnetic conductive metal runs parallel to each other; Conductive metals can be easily detected when they move vertically.


2. Environmental factors

Electromagnetic interference from the power supply of the detection machine, facility vibration, temperature changes, and changes in the surrounding magnetic field can all cause false alarms of the detection machine. Environmental identities like that can only be handled with low sensitivity through a well-designed process to deal with false alarms.


3. Detecting product factors

Examples of food metal detectors and product temperatures. The product example refers to the indirect influence of the salt and acid content of the product on its conductivity. The more salt and acid content there is, the stronger the conductivity and the greater the product effect. Compared to detection, it is easier and the sensitivity is lower; The lower the temperature, the stronger the molecular mobility and conductivity from a chemical perspective. Compared to testing, it is a bit easier. However, if the frequency of facility operation can be reduced, product compensation can be carried out, product effects can be suppressed, and there is no nostalgia for the role of rescue.


4. Factors related to the food metal detection machine itself

The operating speed of the food metal detector and the size of the belt signal. The larger the size of the living quarters, the lower the detection sensitivity, and the smaller the size of the living quarters, the lower the relative detection accuracy. The lower the mechanical frequency, the lower the detection sensitivity of the response.
